About the Artist & Practice
Since 2011, Mara Cozzolino has dedicated her time and passion to Mokuhanga (Japanese woodblock printing), a traditional method she highlights as one of the few truly and entirely ecological, clean printmaking techniques in existence. Her blog serves as a chronicle of her extensive experience teaching this wonderful art form.
The Studio
Her studio-atelier is located in the historic center of Avigliana, a town roughly 25 km from Turin (accessible via a 30-minute train ride or by car via the A32 highway toward Frejus). The atelier is open to visitors daily by appointment.
