Based in Ravières, France, Anastasia lives and works alongside her husband, Antonin Passemard, who is also a full-time professional painter and instructor. Together they have two children and a home with a garden, which serves as a constant source of inspiration for her still-life paintings.
The artwork is a direct reflection of her environment, interwoven with personal observations and emotions. Over time, her perspective and lifestyle have evolved. Becoming a mother naturally shifted her focus closer to home and the daily routine, sparking a deeper appreciation for the beauty found in simplicity. While the concept of an artist’s evolution is widely acknowledged, true understanding comes from firsthand experience.
Through the eyes of her children, she discovered a new way of seeing the world, finding artistic inspiration in everyday objects—an apple, a cup, a flower, a kitchen table, or a bicycle. Today, her surroundings provide an effortless abundance of subjects, ensuring that everything needed for her next piece is always close at hand.
